having the presenter notes print out on thenote side when I print handouts in powerpoint

Hi - I take notes in the presenter notes section of 2008 during lectures. I'd like to then have them print out on the handouts section when I select print > handouts, that is along the lines that print to the right of the slide itself. Keynote never seemed to have a problem with this. Anyone know what I'm missing?
