Having to manually Send/Receive

I have a user who all of a sudden is having to manually
click his send/receive button to get new messages. This
is a user who travels so there is a chance he changed
something by mistake. When he sends messages I get them
right away, but receiving them has become a chore. Any
ideas on what could be wrong?

I was having a similar problem in Outlook 2003. After looking around for a long time I finally found a menu that helped me out.

Go to: Tools | Send/ Recieve | Send/Recieve Settings | Define Send/Receive Groups
In the lower part of the small window that opens you can select and set the accounts to automatically Send/Recieve as well as the frequency. Mine were unchecked so I was having to manually do the S/R.

Good luck!
