Having trouble creating a new shared Notebook on SharePoint

I'm having trouble creating a new shared Notebook on my company's SharePoint.
Since I'm trying to introduce ON virtually through the backdoor, my
SharePoint support doesn't know anything about ON (and isn't too eager to
help out..) :)

But, I'd like to get the ball rolling and show some value in deploying ON as
a collaboration tool. Here's what I'm doing:

I'm logged onto the internet and have established a VPN connection to our
CorpNet.
On the New Notebook wizard, after selecting the Multiple user shared option
and putting in our SharePoint site's location (http://...), I get the
following error:

"OneNote could not create a new notebook at:
http://....

Posible reasons include:
- The specified location is not available.
- You do not have permissions to modify the specified location.
- The path or notebook name contains invalid characters.
- The combined path and notebook name exceeds the maximum path length.

Adjust the path and notebook name, and then try again."

I'm an Admin on SharePoint and can't figure this one out. Any ideas?

Hi Chase,

i had to include the path to the document list in the prompt with B2.
Also had numerous intermittent auth problems with our sharepoint, which is
sandboxed.

Is this with the B2 or B2TR?

Please submit a bug on the OneNote Connect site:
http://connect.microsoft.com/oneonte/

There were known issues with B2TR and SharePoint.

Try creating a Doc Library, and then have OneNote store your files there.
If you still have problems please file a bug on the Connect site.
