Version Outlook 2003 (SP2). I have a DSL account, and receive my e-mail via
Outlook. The default e-mail account is okay, however, the 2nd e-mail account
can send e-mail, but cannot receive. This problem has only occurred in the
last 3 weeks. Both accounts are correctly set-up and test okay. Outlook
shows data being received slowly in very small increments of about 30-50
bytes, and will continue to build up to 5.29KB and then freeze. No error
messages occur, unless I terminate the "send/receive" sequence. On one
occasion, we let the download attempt go 9 hours, and 5.29KB was maximum
received, which meant no e-mail was received. Deleting and reestablishing
the e-mail account within Outlook did not make a difference. Disabling
firewalls and spam filters made no difference. The DSL provider does not
know what to do, but suggested as a last resort deleting and reestablishing
our accounts. I do not want to do this, and think the problem resides with
Outlook. Any ideas? Help!
