Having trouble saving publisher files to cd.

I am trying to save my Publisher files to a cd- rw. I have one file saved on
the cd from Publisher and when I try and save another Publisher file I get a
message saying that windows is having trouble saving the file. I then tried
to save an Excel file which it did with no problem. I then tried to save
another Publisher file and got the same message. What do I need to do to
save more than one Publisher file to my cd? It is a brand new cd so there is
plenty of space. Thank you, Susan

Save to your hard drive, copy to the CD using your CD burning software.
Saving directly to the CD is misguided at best.

Hello,

Thank you for your help. I did save it first to my hard drive then I went
to - start- my computer and copy from there. That is where I get the message
that windows is is having trouble copying. Do I need to rename the files?
Thank you again for your response.

Thank you for your response. I did save the file to my computer. I went to
start, my computer and tried to copy from there. That is when I get the
message. Would it make a difference if I renamed the files? Thank you
again, susan

Had you made sure you closed Publisher before executing the copy?

Have you tried using dedicated CD-writing software rather than the
built-in Windows feature?

Hello,

Thank you again for the help. What exactly is a dedicated CD-writing
software. I am sure that question shows my lack of knowledge. Thank you
again

Susan
