I'm trying to run a chat application (realchat). I had to publish the files
that realchat needs with front page. I published the site to an IIS server
that I use running windows 2003 server.
For some reason - the .conf files cannot be used! All other files I
published with the realchat server are fine (i.e. audio files, etc) - but I
cannot get to the .conf files (nor can realchat server when it tries to
execute).
Look at this URL:
http://fqvictim.tzo.com/CHAT/conf
You will see a ".conf" file there. It has a date and timestamp and a
filesize (860).
Now try to download it.... It says the file isn't there! When I go to the
physical directory on the hard drive where the file is.... IT IS THERE.
This is some kind of IIS issue, I'm sure of it - but I don't know what to
do. I'm thinking of trying to learn the Apache webserver because of things
like this - but it's going to take months and I wanted to get this chat
working.
Can someone on this board that works for Microsoft tell me why IIS is
reporting the file as not there?
Thanks,
Bob
