Having trouble with email accounts

Hello,

I was sent over from the exchange newsgroup. I have a SBS 2003 and it has
exchange. We do not need to use exchange because all of the email is pop3. I
need to delete the exchange accounts on each user and only have there pop3
accounts. The computers keep switching the default back to the exchange
accounts thuough. When I delete the exchange account in outlook I lose all of
the data (contacts,calendar items)

How can I disable exchange and stop the exchange accounts from taking over?

The user will need to move or export all data to a .pst file. You can then remove the Exchange account. In the meantime, check for entries in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SmallBusinessServer\ClientSetup. Those are controlling some of the mail profile settings.

How do you move a pst file? Is it based on the user profile for windows or
seperate? and what if the data does not export?

Who said anything about moving a .pst file. I was referring to "move all data to a .pst file," as in drag and drop between folders in Outlook.

I tried to export the pst file but it does not do anything, where as on other
machines, the computer shows each category being exported.

Please advise.

Thanks

Did you try drag and drop?
