Header and footer missing from received e-mails

Hello all,

I've been searching for a couple days now, but have not found the answer.
When i load a template (.dot) into word 2003 containing a header and / or a
footer, after filling in the body, i use the 'send a copy' feature using
outlook 2003 to send the document as an e-mail. the body is received, but the
header and the footer is missing from the e-mail. is there a way to include
these things with the e-mail?

Office is fully patched with the latest updates, including yesterdays.

Thanks!

If you insert it into the body of the email instead of using the Office Send
option, do they show up?

hi milly, thanks for getting back to me so soon!

i'm not sure i understand how to do that. in outlook, i click new. in the
message composing window i click open, and load the .dot file, but it opens
in a separate instance of word, not the message window, where my only option
is to "Send a Copy". i tried turning off Word as my editor, but then the open
function is lost. i also tried looking through tools; templates / add-ins,
but i'm coming up with nothing. and of course, i'm also unable to copy and
paste headers and footers into outlook while having them remain headers and
footers, correct?

well, going on that, i tried composing a message not using a template at
all. i added a header and footer manually (remember, word as my editor in
outlook is set) wrote some text and sent it to myself. lo and behold it
turned up with no header and footer, only text...so can we narrow this down
to headers and footers not being e-mailed through outlook, and cross off
templates as being a problem?

thanks for your help - let me know what i can do!

Can I expect anymore help on this issue? I have a lot of users that are held
back because of this. Any help or ideas are appreciated.
