Header/Footer: AutoText Combobox empty

Word XP:
I have the problem that the 'Insert AutoText' combobox seen in
the 'Header and Footer' toolbar is empty for a new and already
saved document. But when I open other documents this combobox has
entries!

What can be changed to get the filled combobox?
