Header/Footer REF Incorrect Formatting

D

Dave Damron

I have created a template and there is a field on the
template called "ProductName". This is on the title page
of my document as 20pt. Arial font. The header on the
title page, as well as all following pages, I have
inserted the field "ProductName" using the REF tag in my
first page header and all subsequent pages...so that
whatever ProductName is given on the title page, this
will show up on all pages.

In my header, I have the REF ProductName set to 10pt.
Arial font, however, if there is a space in the product
name (which is frequently the case), the formatting of
the first word in the header is at 10pt. Arial, but the
remaining words in the header ProductName comes out as
the original 20pt. Arial. I have selected and unselected
the "keep original formatting" and tried it both ways,
and get the same results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm not sure if
this is an error or if there is a workaround in place.
Thanks!

Add the following at the end of your field (replacing \* MERGEFORMAT if
already there):
\* CharFormat
