I would like to create a document in which a header and footer appear on page 1. However, on page 2 I only want the footer, not the header. I tried inserting a "section break - Next Page" at the bottom of page 1. But when I delete the header on page 2, it is automatically erased on page 1. How can I create this document, with a header on page 1, but not page 2. Thanks for any and all help. -jeff

One way:

With the header selected, check the "Different First Page" checkbox in
the Header and Footer section of the Formatting Palette.

Delete the Header on the second page

Thanks for your help. I hadn't looked on the formatting palette. And "Different First Page" does the trick. Thanks again. -Jeff
