Header type line within doc

S

SForst

Hi,

I am creating a document that consists of multiple tables
that contain text form fields. These tables span over
several pages. The document contains a header and a
footer already.

We are trying to create a single line containing text form
fields that will be displayed near the top of each
subsequent page. We do not want this line as a part of
the header and it cannot be within any of the tables.
Could we make it as its own one-lined table? Or is there
another way to achieve this without using a table?

Any suggestions on how we may be able to achieve this?
If you need me to clarify, please let me know!

Thanks,
S. Forst

Could you put it in a frame or text box?

If it will be the same on each page, it should be a part of the header. If
you want you can put it in a frame or a textbox. You could have formfields
(not in the header) on the first page and REF fields picking up their
contents in the header for subsequent pages.

If, on the other hand, you want different information on each page, that
doesn't appear elsewhere on the page, you might put together something as an
AutoText entry. Then have a vba procedure that unlocks your form, inserts
said entry at the top of each page and then relocks the form.

If the information you want will appear elsewhere on the page, consider a
StyleRef field in the header.

We have opted to use the vba procedure. Thank-you very
much for your suggestions.
