Header usage

Hi,

I`m not new to code but not an expert with office..is there a way to produce
a header only on certain pages?.What I am tring to do is insert our company
Logo into some batch processed documents. We do not want to use letterhead so
the best would be to insert the logo within the Doc itself. Trying to use
headers really isnt an option because every page will have the header and we
really dont want that.. I have thought of using a text box and embeedding the
image which makes sense but being that I need to do this in batches its hard
to do beacuse of the section breaks and so forth..
Would anyone have any ideas on how I could go about insert the logo once per
document, keeping in mind that the batch merges can draft many letters onto 1
doucment.
Hope that explains it enough..

thanks

Not following.

On one hand you state: "Trying to use headers really isnt an option "

Yet you are asking about headers.

You ask: "Would anyone have any ideas on how I could go about insert the
logo once per document"

Probably, but please clarify clearly where the once is supposed to be. And
how does "once" match to "only on certain pages"? Pages is plural, so it
implies...more than once.

Thanks for the reply.. sorry i was so unclear..

our Batch letter process runs and create n many letters within one document
basically. Each letter needs a logo either by way of a header or text box
(picture). When I use headers the logo is put at the top of each page. but a
page could be a continuation of a letter. So I dont want the header in the
next page of the letter. If i caould assign a header to each page that would
be great but thats why i say headers not an option as far as I can see. If
htere is a way to insert a header per letter in the batch that would be fine.
So I was asked to look at using a text box with a logo embedded in it. but
still there will be section breaks and page breaks. This is a hard one to
explain sorry. Im tryin my best..
So can headers be embedded into the letters (docs) or will all Pages get the
header. I am not a guru of office and learning the routines..
Or Should I try and insert A text box with embedded logo in it?. Does this
clarify any better..

Thanks

Now that you have clarify things a bit...
;-)

Yes, what you ask can easily be done.
Just use "Different First Page" headers (File > Page Setup... > "Lay out"
tab).

When you create the batch document, just insert a section break between each
letter.

Thanks for your input...would you know the code behind this option that code
be put into a macro?.
I find it difficult to actully describe the methods i need to put in place.
thanks fro your offering.

No need for code, just manually set up the template.

If you are writing about the code that would be needed for iinserting the
section break, it depends on the batch code you are already using.
What code are you using for your batch process?
