header with colored background

Hi,
is it possible to make a header that has a background color? I tried to
achieve this by inserting a picture but the picture never covered the whole
page width. Any hints?
Thanks, Luc

Hi Luc,
I assumed you meant cover the entire width of the page for
background color since your were talking about header.

If you meant to have a picture in the background that would be called a
watermark which you can find some links for my xlindex.htm page.

If it is a logo that runs across the top of the page you would have to lock
the picture to the cell boundaries -- right click on border of picture,
format picture, properties, move and resize with cells.

Hi Luc,
You would have to use the top rows as your header, and if you
wanted a logo only on the first page that is possible by making
the rows to repeat at top start lower. Additional details in
