Headers for Linked Excel Tables in Word

Hi all,

I have a question about Excel tables pasted into Word as a link: I
would like to have the header row repeat on multiple pages, but I am
not having much luck. I searched this group and found the suggestions
for Tables->Header Row Repeat, \*MERGEFORMAT and 'paste in as RTF',
but each time the link is updated the repeating rows disappear.

Any thoughts? Thanks so much!

If that isn't working, then I'm afraid you're going to be out of luck.
The MergeFormat switch has been around a long time, and Microsoft hasn't
always thought to update it as functionality has been added to Word's
tables. You'll have to re-apply this after the table has been updated,
or use a macro to at least reduce the number of steps.
