Heading 1 in footer

Marc

Hi,

I'm trying to get the section name (Header 1) in the
footer. I know it is possible with the Insert - Cross
Reference and then add Header to the footer, but I will
have to change that all the time, cause all pages will
then have the same section title.

How can I make this automatically change to the correct
section the page belongs to?

Thanks.

You can use the STYLEREF field for this purpose. First
place the insertion point inside the footer and then press
CTRL+F9 to insert field delimiters, { }. The next step is
to type

STYLEREF 1

within these delimiters. Finally, press F9 to display the
field result. The STYLEREF field will show the text of the
latest occurrence of a Heading 1 paragraph.

For detailed information about the field, you can use Word
Help.
