Hi there,
I have a long engineering specification which is numbered in the following
fashion, where all paragraphs are numbered, but only some are headings.
1.0 HEADING
1.1 Text paragraph
2.0 HEADING
2.1 Text paragraph
2.2 SUB-HEADING
2.2.1 Text paragraph
2.2.2 Text paragraph
2.3 Text paragraph
2.4 Text paragraph
And so on. For historical and referencing reasons I am required to keep this
system. I can't work out how to make text paragraphs that are numbered in the
same sequence as the headings. I have tried to create a body text style that
is based on the headings, but they seem to start at top-level numbers, e.g.:
2.0 Heading here
1. first paragraph
2. second paragraph
Is there any way to create numbered paragraphs that inherit the headings'
top-level numbers? The fact that top-level headings start at 1.0 instead of
1. shouldn't be an issue, as I can add the trailing zero to that heading's
style.
Thanks in advance!
