Heading numbers in header

I would like to be able to include the number of the most recent heading in
my header. The only way I know of doing this is to format the page number to
include the heading number, but that is no good here as I would like to have
the heading number and the page number separately.

Any ideas?

Hi Adam

Have a look at the STYLEREF field in Word Help. Provided you don't need the
heading number as part of the page number (for TOC etc.) this is the best
way of achieving this.
