Heading row repeat

How does one turn off the repeat heading row?

I am modifying a document and when I go to Tools pull down menu the "heading
row repeat" option is gray.

The "Heading Rows Repeat" command is on the Table menu, not Tools, and in
fact applies only to tables. Select the row(s) that is/are marked as a
heading and click on the menu item to remove the check. Alternatively, you
can do this for one or more rows on the Row tab of Table Properties.

If you are trying to remove a header, use View | Header and Footer, then
delete the content.

You are correct. I stated the original condition incorrectly. I had pulled
down the Table Menu, not the Tools menu.
