I have a situation where I have applied the Heading 1 and
Heading 2 built-in styles to several paragraphs in a
document. I move the insertion point to the beginning of
the document (at beginning of a heading 1 style paragraph)
and choose an Outline Numbered setting in the Bullets and
Numbering dialog box (the I,A,1...). Word doesn't apply
the outline to the entire document even though it is
selected to in the customize portion of the Bullets and
Numbering dialog box.
Another problem is when I apply a the heading 1 style to a
paragraph it sometime inserts "Chapter 1" to the beginning
of the paragraph, and it changes the name of the built-in
style, Heading 1, to "Chapter 1 Heading 1". Then when I
try to apply heading 1 to another paragraph, Heading 1 is
not available, Chapter 1 Heading 1 is. Then Chapter 1 is
added to the beginning of the paragraph so I have to
delete it from the paragraph.
Any Ideas???
