Headings and page breaks: Heading to new page, bookmark stays on old page?

Hello,

if you make text into a heading, it automatically becomes a bookmark
(insert -> bookmark -> check "hidden bookmarks" to see it). The strange
thing is, if you enter a page break right before the heading the bookmark is
left standing just before the pagebreak (you can see it if you enable
formatting marks).

That is very useless because a hyperlink to that bookmark will go to the
last page before the actual heading because that is where the pagebreak is.

Why is this and how can I prevent this from happening?

Thank you!

Hi Michiel1978

I never place a maual page break by hand before a heading. Usually I
want certain headings to start on a separate page anyway, so I modify
the heading style, but you can do it per heading if you want.

Try this: go to the heading and select Format>Paragraph>Line and Page
Breaks. Then tick the "Page break before" setting.

Cheers,

Marcel
