headings and styles question

Hi. How do you move the heading to one style below for
the entire document or subsection of a document?

For instance, I have 50 pages of a 90 page document where
I need to make all the heading style 3s into 4s and the 4s
into 5s, etc. Short of selecting each one indivudually or
assigning a macro that will do each one at a time, I am at
a loss on how to do it quickly. The approach should also
work for entire documents too.

Thanks!

LA,

This may not be quick enough, but you can use
Edit>Replace>More

Put your cursor in the find what field and the press
Format>Style. Choose the Heading 3 Style. Put the cursor
in the replace with field and with Format>Style again
choose Heading 4. Click replace all.

Of course you will have to repeat for your other styles.

Thanks for the help.

What if I want to do it to only part of the document (e.g
last 50 pages of a 90 page document0?

Also, do I have to do it backwards? e.g. HS6 to HS5. HS5
to HS4, etc. Instead of HS4 to HS5. HS5 to HS6...

Thanks in advance.
