Heavily Used Outlook Bar in OXP, what to do in Office 2003?

T

Ty Moffett

Our organization uses Public Folders to house various discussion folders,
much like the bulliten board's of old or ez-board site. Users would make
shortcuts to the folders they read often on the Outlook bar and if any news
posts appeared in the folder their shortcut on the Outlook Bar would show a
(1) next to it if there was one unread message, a (2) if there were two
munread messages, etc.

Is there a way to accomplish this in 2003? I've found the shorcut area in
the lower left and I've added a handful of folder shorcuts to it, but I
don't get the indicator of new messages being posted.

Has anyone else run into this?

Have you added the folders to your Folder Favorites? If you add them and you
are in a folder view, they should appear at the top of the wunderbar
information.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to the
Swen virus, all e-mails sent to my actual account will be deleted w/out
reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer

They need to be in PF Favorites (and drag the PF Favorite to the shortcut
bar) to show counts - and once in favorites, they can be added to the Mail
Favorites if you want...
