Hebrew Visual Keyboard for Office 2003

There was a Microsoft Visual Keyboard that worked with Office 2000 and Office
XP, it can be downloaded here:

When I tried installing it to Office 2003 (on Windows XP) I get an error
message saying that Office 2000 is not installed on the computer. Is there
now a similar product that works with Office 2003?

Bummer :^( I have the same problem trying to get a Russian (Cyrillic) visual
keyboard.

What's the problem? Could it be just a switch that could be patched?

have the same problem trying to get a Russian (Cyrillic)

visual keyboard.

There are several ways available:

1) Windows has such thing itself (not Office) - it's in
Programs/Accessories or just go to Start/Run and type
osk

For it to work you need first to add Russian keyboard layout first and
has it then as a current layout - with "RU" in taskbar.
Then this On-screen Keyboard works.

2) You can use 3rd party On-screen Russian (and Ukrainian) keyboards -
for example

3) The best way which most of people outside former USSR use:

- add Russian keyboard layout to your Windows - it provides
_standard_ layout with this picture:
http://simeon.library.reed.edu/lang/russiankeyboard.html

- place a small file (not a program!) on your hard drive with
another layout called "phonetic" where Russian 'd' is obtained
by pressing 'd', A-A,O-O, K-K, T-T,...

- register this new file instead of standard layout file (not
touching original MS file!)

It's how most of us type, very handy...

I have the exact same problem today, January 01/07. I have Office 2K3 with
WIN XP. Cannot install the Msoft Visual Keybd for Hebrew. Get an error that
says "You don't have Office 2K". I don't suppose I need to downgrade!

Office 2003 does not support the Visual Keyboard. Read the install instructions very carefully. It is supported on Off2K and OfficeXP but not for Off2K3.
