"Hebrew"???

I started my 350 page thesis many years ago in word 97 and have
worked on it in every version since. The document is basically in
French, with a little Spanish, and a paragraph in Portuguese. I only
have the proofing tools that came with Microsoft Office Pro 2003
(English, French, and Spanish).

For the past 2 days (never happened before), when I open it up and
start the grammar/spell check it says it doesn't have the proofing
tools for Portuguese that's normal. Then it says it doesn't have the
proofing tools for Hebrew. That's not normal as I never indicated
that anything was in Hebrew. I don't know anything about Hebrew so I
have no idea what would be mistaken for Hebrew.

I try doing a search for anything in Hebrew but nothing is found.
Then I try doing a search for anything in Hebrew and replace it with
French but nothing is replaced.

Then, while working I found out where the "Hebrew" was supposed to
be - when I put the curser at beginning of each and every one of the
superscript references for my bibliography, Word indicates it is
"Hebrew". There are hundreds of them in my document and selecting
them to indicate they are French is useless.
