Held shift key down and now all caps, mouse scroll doesn't work?

I was working on a document in MS Word 2003. Without noticing, I held down
the shift key and a filter key message popped up. I thought I'd cancelled
it, but afterward, when I clicked on any place on a page, it highlighted
everything on the page above it. I also got only all caps or all small
letters. That is not happening here, but does in the document I'm working
on. My mouse scroll does not work, either. I don't see any directions on
how to undo (or what I did). Can anyone help? Thanks.
