HELP! - A program is trying to access e-mail addresses

I'm using Word as my mail editor, I installed the latest SP for Office
and I keep getting a message box whenever I try to edit a mail
message!!!!

What is this?!?!

This is not a virus protection fwature - THIS IS THE VIRUS ITSELF!!!!!

This is freaking me out!! How do I get rid of this thing?!?!

I don't want to use outlook's default editor and I DONT NOT wish to
install a 3rd-party auto-click thingy - I want this feature turned
OFFFFFFFFFFF for good!!

You can't turn it off. You can address the issue. You have a third-party
add-in that does not conform to the Microsoft security model. Possibly
Adobe Acrobat at a version less than V7. See if something here helps:

No need to do hard math - I already wrote: MS-Word is my e-mail editor
and that's the program that is trying to access my address book!!!

This is nuts!!! And besides, instead of allowing access for authorized
applications (e.g. MS-Word) this stupid solution is bad twofold:

The second reason is that if I allow access to my Address Book for 10
minutes, it means that for 10 minutes - ANY application can access my
address book - including some fine vintage viruses!

And the first reason is that:
I'M SWITCHING TO MOZILLA-THUNDERBIRD!!!!!!!!!!!

They've gone too far!! Not giving me the liberty to choose if I want
this damn feature on or off?!?!?!

Brian had it right: Chances are it's not Word at all, but an add-in that comes with Adobe Acrobat and is poorly designed so that it triggers security prompts whenever you create a message with Word as your email editor. I can't explain it - it's just gone..
I didn't do a thing - didn't implement any Adobe thing or anything
else...

The problem went away just like that...

I can't even suggest something for others...
