Help! Access Versions 2000, XP, 2003

Created several business applications in Access 2000. Am currently engaged
in updating the AC2000 databases to accommodate changes in company financial
system. Since launching my applications several users have received new PC
with Windows XP and Office XP (2002). I now have to complete AC2000 upgrade
and migrate application to AC2002.
My questions:
1.For the migration development will OfficeXp Professional provide the
necessary development environment and tools?
2. Do I have to purchase a separate development product for Office XP like I
did for Office 2000?
3. Can I simply go to Office 2003 and create the application migration that
will work with Office XP? If so, what 2003 version should I purchase that
includes the development tools?

That's a snap. In fact, the default database format for AccessXP
databases is Access2000 format; you can convert to 2002 (XP) format if
you wish, but it's not required.

did for Office 2000?

Yes. If you'll be creating runtimes for computers without Access
installed, though, you can just keep the database in 2000 format and
use your current Office Developers Edition 2000 to create them.

3. Can I simply go to Office 2003 and create the application migration that
will work with Office XP? If so, what 2003 version should I purchase that
includes the development tools?

Yes; I forget what they're calling the Developer's Edition now but it
should be on Microsoft's website.

I assume I can develop and update my application with my AC2000 development
environment I already have.
I will update my application using the AC2000 development environment. I
expect that those users that have Office2000 (AC2000) loaded on their
machine (I am not distributing the AC2000 runtime) they will have no
problem.
Question:
If I load the same application on a user's machine that is running Windows
XP with Office XP will the user be able to run the AC2000 application? Do I
have to make any changes to the application? Do I have to make a separate
distribution file for Office XP users?

Yes, no, and no. They'll be able to open the application (in
Access2000 format) in AccessXP; they'll be able to do anything with it
that you can do. No changes and no separate distribution are needed.
