Help applying rules to Gmail IMAP account

I have my Gmail Account set up via IMAP. I enjoy using rules to sort my messages into different folders.

Entourage's rules work GREAT with sorting my Gmail messages. Unfortunately, once the messages sort, the individual folders do not sync with the unread message count until I click on the individual folder or until the next scheduled Send/Receive.

In order to fix this error, I would like to create a script where once the rules are applied, send receive runs again to update the folders.

Is there a way to do this, or is there a better way to update the folders to show the unread message count?

Hi.
Is there a way to do this, or is there a better way to update the folders to
show the unread message count?

You could use a Schedule for this. Click on Tools>Schedules, then create a
new Schedule. In the "When" section, create a repeating schedule and set a
very low frequency, such as "every 1 minute", or "every 2 minutes". You can
change this again afterwards and set it to a higher value if you notice that
your account is chocking up. In the "Action" section, choose "Receive Mail
from <name of your Gmail account>", then click on the button that reads
"Click here for account options". Click on the triangle to expand the folder
list and check every single folder you want to update. Click on OK, then hit
OK again in the Edit Schedule window, and your folders should update
automatically, albeit with a short delay.

Alternatively, you can use a feature called Live Sync to stay connected with
the server at all times. To do so, click on Tools>Accounts, double-click
your Gmail account, and switch to the Options tab. Once there, check the
option "Live Sync" and uncheck the option that reads "Only connect to
Inbox". Any changes to your IMAP folders should now appear in Entourage
immediately.
