Help! Audio Recording in PowerPoint

I can't get a good audio recording in PowerPoint no matter
what I do. I have professional mics etc. I don't think it
is a hardware issue, I think it is a software problem.

I want to record good quality audio sound and have it sync
with my presentations. I am using windows 2000 and have
Power Point 2002. Does anyone have any ideas how I can
record good quality sound in PowerPoint. I am at my wits
end.

Robert,

Could you get PowerPoint to play the sound through, and simply rehearse the
timings to fit? What sound type is it, and how are you getting it into
PowerPoint?
