Help! Cannot disable validation rule.

Outlook 2003. When designing my custom contact form I experimented adding a
control that had a validation rule. I added a control tied to field User1
and added a validation check and a message to display when the check failed.
I then deleted the control. However, now when I try to update a contact
using the form, I cannot save it. I still get the validation check message.
How do I get rid of this permanently?

Add the User1 field back to the form, and you'll be able to access its validation rule through the associated control's Properties dialog.
