Help! Can't Run Outlook 2002 on Media Center Laptop

S

Susan M.

I have tried repeatedly to install Outlook 2002 on my new laptop, which is
running Windows Media Center. I need it for my PDA. After installation, it
seems to start up okay until the End User License Agreement Popup appears, at
which point the entire program shuts down without so much as an error
message. I have run Activate Product and it seemed to work. Please help!
Thanks,
Susan

Dear Milly,

Thanks so much for responding, and sorry for the cross-post. More
furious head scratching. I created a new mail profile, restarted
Outlook using it, and the same problem recurred. Any more ideas?

Can you run Detect and Repair from Control Panel->Add/Remove programs?
Elect the Change option and then repair for Outlook.

Dear Milly,
Thanks again! Tried it, with no luck, I'm afraid. This is very
frustrating!!

If you close and restart Windows, does it work then? Also, what other
Office programs do you have installed? Have you tried uninstalling and
reinstalling ActiveSync?
