Hi, All...
I'm cross-posting to all three groups, as I'm not sure which one to post
to.
Here's my problem... I have Microsoft Office 2000 Premium (Corporate
Edition) and I'm unable to apply any of the updates to it, as it always
errors out. Trying to install SP3, it complains about *.tmp files in
c:\config.msi\ being altered. Well, I hate to say it, but there's nothing
altering them, as far as I can tell. I *am* running Symantec Antivirus,
but I've disabled the realtime protection for now.
I've tried this on two fresh installs of Office 2000 (well, not 100%
fresh, I uninstalled and reinstalled Office due to some problems I was
having on one system and thought maybe that would help on MY workstation.)
I used Office XP Resource Kit to uninstall Office and it didn't help.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to update when the updates I
downloaded direct from Microsoft won't work??? HELP!!!
Please reply to me at my office: jaldrich (at) covista.com as I don't
normally read these groups on a regular basis...
thanks
