Help - Connector lines going over text boxes etc

I've been using 'Arrange' and 'Oder' to try and get my connector lines to to
go under text and shape boxes etc but it won't work - how do I get connector
lines to go behind boxes etc????????????

Mine will go under the text. Could be it only appears to over the text because
both the line and text is black. Change the color of the line connecter; see
what I mean. Zoom close.
