HELP: Continuously prompted to enter network password outlook 2002

Hi, I cannot stop my Outlook from asking me to "Enter Network Password" even
though I have asked it to remember my password when it sends and receives
emails. I have also deleted the registry key and changed the permissions from
"replace permission entries..." to "inherit from parent the permission
entries" for the users with "full control" within the Protected Storage
System Provider and restarted the machine. Nothing has worked. Please help.

I am having the same trouble and it appears to be very common. Looking
through many, many posts, nobody else seems to have solved the problem by
editing the registery either. (So why does MS still suggest it?)

If you upgraded from a previous version like many have, or imported your
settings in some manner, I only came across one solution the seems to be
working. That is to erase all your email accounts and enter them manually as
opposed to copying from a previous version. I haven't gotten to the point of
trying it myself; just passing on what I have been reading.

Do a Search in this forum on "password" and you can read all the p&s some
people have gone through. Anyone but MS would have addressed this problem so
many people are having by now. Good luck.
