Help correcting errors

M

MOL

To the Microsoft MVP’s – Front Page

Thank you for the replies to my post, however, none of yall seemed to be
able to answer my question which was “Would someone be so kind as to help
me?†Obviously not. I didn’t intend to be your holiday amusement, ROFLMAO,
and, consider this, why in the world would I publish a sight knowing it has
errors?

I am not a Microsoft expert, as ya’ll are supposed to be, but a self-taught
MS Office user, who is volunteering to help a local non profit agency
establish a website. A professional web developer is just not in their
budget, and I am doing the best I know how. It was also my understanding
that I could get support from the Front Page Forum, but from the
condescending sarcasm of your replies, it is obvious that I would be better
off going somewhere else. Never did I imagine I would be treated like this
by Microsoft.

Thanks just the same, I don’t needs help like yours, there are plenty of
nice, considerate geeks out there who are most understanding and would be
happy to help.

TTFN, ;),

PS.
Maybe I should invest in Corel next time.

Also, as noticed, yall are all male – go figure!

How can we help you with your errors if you don't show us the site so that
we can help?

You don't seem to understand that I don't want to publish the site until some
of these minor errors are corrected. Thanks anyway, I didnt realize that was
necessary to see actual site in order to help.

Welp, ok I'll give it a shot..move your navs up a tad and a little to the
left. Change your horizontal nav button colors the pink looks bad against
the black background. Remove the scrolling marquee..it looks
unprofessional..and the background music should be changed to a nice heavy
metal piece.

Optimize the image of the doggie on the index page 3 meg is too big for the
web.

You can't be serious...how can anyone proof your site without seeing it?

Corel can't help you.

We are not all male.

We would love to help you but you make it impossible by not showing us
anything - what do you expect the replies to be?

Everyone publishes a site with errors, sites are seldom perfect...if you
wait for your site to be perfect no one will EVER see it.

Here, here

To MOL:
While I realise that we all need help with getting things right (or at least
to an acceptable level of "right"), nobody else can help you without
information as to what is wrong.

If you don't want to put up (and give a reference to) a website that is
wrong (and aren't they all, as Rob has said) at least please tell us what
you think is wrong and what you want to correct/perfect.

There are experts here and amateurs, and many will offer advice.

A

Andrew Murray

It would help if we could see the site so we know what errors you want help
with sorting out, or a detailed description of every error you're getting so
we can provide steps towards a solution.
