Help counting dates

can this be done. I need to take a range of dates and
count how many are older than 2 days, 3 days, etc.

7/15/03
7/14/03
7/13/03
7/12/03

1 day=1
2 days=1
etc.

=COUNTIF($A$1:$A$4,"<=" & (TODAY() -A6))
A1:A4 contained the dates, and A6 had the # of days
