Help create custom margins in label

Hi,

Any help appreciated.

Trying to create a label template that a client can use to print
addresses on their pre-printed color labels. My problem is that I want
the address to fall in a specific area on the pre-printed label so that
their corporate artwork is not printed over.

I am using Word 2004, version 11.1 (040910).

There is a "Details" tab in the wizard which includes "vertical" and
"horizontal pitch", which I can't make sense of, and which aren't
referenced in the Help files.

Thanks.

Is there a template preinstalled in Word that matches your client's labels?
Who made the client labels?

The Details/New Label dialog includes a graphic that shows you what
horizontal and vertical pitch are better than I can explain it. What more
do you want than a line with arrows?

Pitch is the height (or width) *plus* the space between labels.

Click on New Label. Make all the measurements on the pre-printed labels as
shown. Insert the right numbers. Lie as appropriate to pretend the graphic
is not part of the label, instead include that space in the margins or the
pitch--how you do this will depend on where the graphic is.

Test on plain sheet of paper first.
