HELP~ Days on this issue

I posted this question on the MS newsgroups and have
gotten no help. I hope this newsgroup can help me.

No this did not help! When it leaves the initial form
that form is still open in the background because if you
close this form it will not accept because the vendor was
not added and this is a required field. I tried changing
the tab order so that it would not assign an auto number
for the ID so that I don't have multiple IDs with no
records and I could close the form and come back in but
when the form loses focus and you come back to it it
assigns the number.

From what you listed here I can't tell what's wrong. But on my website,
(see sig below) there is a small sample database called "NotInList.mdb"
which illustrates several ways to add new values to comboboxes whose Limit
To List property is set to true. There is also a sample called
"NotInListAlternatives2K.mdb". Maybe if you compare how these to the way
yours is programmed, you can see what's wrong.
