Help, default font setting not retained when I re-open word!

I have tried setting the font by clicking on default in the font window,
however if I then close word and re-open it is has reverted back to the old
font. Is this a fault or am I doing something wrong?

This is a bug with Adobe Acrobat version 7 which after years of causing Word
to 'always' prompt to save normal.dot, now inhibits Word from saving
normal.dot totally.

You can get an update from Adobe.
