Help Definitions not Displaying

E

Ezequiel

Microsoft Help, regardless of the program, is not
displaying definition pop up windows. These are the
windows with the definition for highlighted text (this
does not include linked terms and phrases - these work
fine). When I click on the term/phrase, it changes color
from blue to purple as if it has been visited, but nothing
was displayed.

We have tried the Detect and Repair feature.

OS: Windows 2000, SP3
Suite: Office 2000

Any ideas?

Hi Ezequiel,

Office 2000 updates disabled both the definition
and 'show me' features in Word help due to a potential
security issue. You can, at your risk, restore the
functionallity by using the original version of the
..ocx file listed in this article from your Office CD.
