I just THOUGHT I moved treasured photos from my Mac iBook onto a CD.
Then I moved all the photos to my 'Trash Can' and selected 'Empty
Trash'.

Then, when I popped in the CD, IT IS BLANK....you see visually it
looked like the photos went over, BUT I forgot to 'BURN TO CD' oh
no!!! Is there ANY WAY to recover these somehow? It just happened and
I have not shut down the iBook laptop yet. Can I recover them? HELP!!!

As long as you didn't use 'Secure Empty Trash', your pictures should
be recoverable, as long as the files have not been overwritten by the
OS. As far as recovery software goes try using Data Rescue from
Prosoft.

Thanks Gary. I looked up Data Rescue from Prosoft off of Google and it
took me to:
http://www.prosofteng.com/products/data_rescue.php

My iBook is running on OS9.2. First I downloaded the Data Rescue
Bundle but that wouldn't open so I downloaded the Data Rescue Classic.
It opened but froze. It also said something about saving to another
drive, which I don't have, I only have this iBook.

I also found this website:
http://www.binarybiz.com/vlab/mac.php

which looks promising. But the scan took forever and I don't see 5
megapixel JPEG files of my photos per se (they had each been named by
detail)...I see some that are named after numbers, but can't open them
to see if they're the ones I want to Recover. HELP ANYONE, IS THERE A
SIMPLE WAY TO FIND EXACTLY THE JPEG PHOTOS I EMPTIED LAST WEEK OUT OF
MY TRASH?
Thank You for your time!!!!
