HELP!! Entourage has erased all my details?

H

Heather75

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

I was using word the other day and it froze so I shut down my computer. When I restarted my entourage came up and had deleted all my current entourage files and accounts??.. :(

I know I did not update anything because I never select to update. My version was from August 2008.

Anyone know how to get back my old email files, etc....

Thanks

I'm assuming you did a hard quit? Always use the Activity Monitor to force
quit an application that's frozen.
I know I did not update anything because I never select to update. My version

1) Do a search for the Identity name "Main Identity" (Main is the default
name) or Microsoft User Data folder. It's possible that it was just moved
out of the Documents folder.

2) When the computer is shut down incorrectly, the Finder can place files in
an invisible folder called 'lost & found.'

See directions here on how to locate. I can't test to see if this works in
Leopard now because the file doesn't exist unless there are files inside.

It's possible you will never find the file. I had this happen in iMovie.
After a bad crash in iMovie the file I was working on just disappeared.
