Help! ERP Issue

R

RandyK

While entering a few new resources to the ERP, my computer lost connection to
MSPS. Now, the resource does not appear in the ERP (I checked both PWA and
Project Pro) - yet when I go to re-enter the resources, I am getting a
"duplicate Windows Account" error. Any idea what I need to do to fix this
issue????

Is there a chance when you lost the connection your global resource pool got
checked out. Look in Admin on PWA I think it is mange enterprise features.

I checked there.... the ERP is fine (no resources are checked out). To
verify this, I opened the ERP from a new project.

That's not how to verify if the Enterprise Resource Pool is checked out.
Instead, navigate to PWA and click Admin - Manage Enterprise Features.
Click the Check in enterprise resources link in the sidepane to see if any
resources are checked out. Hope this helps.

That is exactly what I did before coming here to the forum. No one is
checked out. When I go to "Clean up Project Server Database" and choose
resoruces, I do not see the new resosurces in the list. Nor do I see them
in the ERP from Project Pro - Yet when I try to re-add them - I get a
Dupilcate Windows Account error.

I'm - I'm good now....

Thanks for the assist!!! It was in Check in Enterprise Projects - not
Resources. I guess MSPS looks at the ERP as an enterprise project called
resglb (or something like that).

Dale -

Although the ERP was checked out - I am still getting the same eror. That
is, all the resources that I had entered before I locked up do not appear int
he ERP - yet when I go re-add them - they show a duplicate windows account.
Any ideas?

RandyK,

Did you check that the resources are not inactive? While opening ERP
in the 'Open Enterprise Reource' dialog try selecting 'Include
Inactive resources' and find the names you were adding. I would also
suggest you to check Admin > Manage Users and Groups and find
resources in the dropdown.

Abhi.
