Help - ERP Resources set to Inactive

V

Vaughn Fox

Hi all,

Every resource in my ERP somehow got set to "Inactive" with the exception of
members of the Project Managers and Resource Managers groups, I have no idea
why or how.

We do a scheduled import of account information from AD each night and all
was well earlier in the day. After this occured in PS, I verified the
accounts the accounts in AD were still all active, and did a manual
syncronization with AD via the Admin pages in PWA, no luck. Shouldn't this
have worked?

To solve my trouble I logged in to Admin PWA and manually reset each
resource (what fun!) to "Active".

What could have made such a sweeping change?

Is there another way to make a sweeping change back to Active should I ever
find myself in this mess again?

Thanks

Vaughn -

One way I know to change everyone from active to inactive is to change
the authentication method from the PWA Admin controls. Don't ask how I
know this. :)

As far as I know, there is no easy to way to make the change back. I
tried just about everything i could think of.

Thanks for the input Gary, I've came to the same conclusion.

FYI: I've recently purchased both of your (you and Dale Howard) PS books,
I've found both to be an excellent source of information. I'm sure I'll be
ordering another set shortly as I'll have these 2 worn out from constant use
in no time! Thanks for these much needed resources.
