HELP! "Error in loading DLL" message

I loaded Microsoft Office (2004 version) onto my new MacBook 2 GHz
Intel Core Duo. When I attempt to open some, but not all, Microsoft
Excel files, I receive the message "Error in loading DLL," and the
document will not open. To reemphasize, I am able to open some excel
documents on this computer, but not others. And I also have an iMac
where I am able to open all of these excel files, even those which are
not openable on my MacBook. So the files are not corrupt, because I
can open them on a different computer.

Any advice? I'm not very computer saavy, so please feel free to "dumb
down" any suggestions.
