HELP! Error installing Office 2000 SR1a

When I run o2ksr1a.exe, I accept the license conditions and begin the
download of the 26Mb SR1 update. It stops with an error box shortly after
starting the download, which says to contact Microsoft Support (As if!!) and
logs the following information in an error log file named "Office 2000 SR-1
Setup(0001).txt", the conetnts of which are pasted below.
