Help. Excel icon masking other desktop icons.

Hi all,

Previously this does not happen to me. After i installed some applications,
the Excel icon automatically mask my other icons on my desktop after every
startup. Any answer to that? I tried using the property to set it back to the
default icon but in vain. Additional information is that the icons looked
normal during the starting of the startup but masked once it reached the end.
It could probably be the result of some service that is run during the
startup. Any help on this? Thanks.

I imagine you have a corrupt icon cache which needs to be deleted or
repaired.

Try creating a New user account and see if the problem exists there.
