Help externally identifying user to oracle

G

Guest

On a linked table:
Has anyone found a way to allow "/" entered as a user name
( leaving the password blank ) when promped from oracle
authentication. I am trying to allow authentication from
the clients environment instead to the pop up box.
Hope this makes sense.

When you link tables manually there is a Save Password checkbox on the
screen where you see the list of Oracle tables. If you check it the password
is cache din the link and anyone can open it later. Do not check it if you
want force them to enter their Oracle credentials each time they use the
mdb.

Delete all links and re-create them using whichever option above suits your
needs.
