Help feature in Word 2003

I just got Office 2003 when my computer was upgraded at work. I was
trying to find out about fixing a list I was making, and needed to go
to the "Help" feature. I was suprised at first, because I could only
do what seemed like a search of Microsoft.com and the templates they
have there (I did a search for "list"). Is there a way to shut out the
web-based help, and just do a local search, a la older versions of
Word? Perhaps to set the default help to an older interface (with the
old index, and search field). If there is no way to easily do this, is
there a way to limit to actual help topics, and not templates and such?

Thank you for your time and attention.

Hi Rob,

If you go to the Word Help task pane (click HELP on your main menu to
pull up the correct task pane); at the right of your screen and scroll
way down, under the heading, "See Also", you should then see a link for
"Online Content Settings". Click on that and you'll see a dialogue box
called "Service Options".

There you should be able to deselect the checkmark beside the option
"Search Online Content When Connected". (You can always turn this
feature back on if you choose so later).

Best to you,
Karen
